baby season begins

preparing to be a new father has kept me from updating this site in quite some time. here's a brief rundown of non-newborn-related events in january. the new little girl is due to arrive on valentine's day. i've been feverishly writing and recording original nursery odes for her. the album is due when she is, and i must say it's strange having a firm deadline but not knowing exactly when it is. i'll post songs or you can contact me for copies.

feb 20--mardi gras party at fellini's w/ m'self and crewe d'bayou--the band that couldn't spell straight and special guests (and n'laws) john d'earth and dawn thompson. we'll be performing lots of my n'awlins-inspired compositions and a vast array of tunes, spanning the century--from fats waller, louis armstrong, and professor longhair, up to present day zydeco pioneers. come on down for dinner and stay for the show. bring a washboard and get in free. the party starts at 10 pm.
