augustine the first...

Many summer projects and musical excursions this month, dovetailing neatly with trips out of body and mind with blissful mirabelle who turns .5 yrs young on the 22nd. We'll be taking some family time off to reconnect our dots and finger paint our future. here's where i'll be playing this month: If you're not able to see the following (two!) public concerts this month, and are in the D.C. area, check out the Millenium Stage concert series during August 13-16 for a series of Accordion Orchestras from around the world. Hot July Dates

...brought to you by match.com. Here's where and when I'll be this month. The newly completed 'Matty Metcalfe and Crewe d'Bayou' album (nine songs) is finished. We're very happy/lucky to have had John D'earth play trumpet on the tracks, and James McLaughlin play engineer. The artwork is still to be completed, but it's never too soon to pre-order your copy. and remember, it ain't no sin to dance around in your skin...it's just creepy to think about.

July 2-3--I perform solo on accordion at a reception to honor the eminent dignitaries from Charlottesville's 'sister city', Poggio a Caiano, and to celebrate the city-sisters' 30th anniversary. The reception will be held downtown on July 3rd at 5 pm and is open to the community. I'll be serving traditional Italian fare such as 'Return to Sorrento' and 'Santa Lucia' spiced with a dash of Sinatra and Dean Martin. You'll be walking down the street with the clouds at your feet afterwards.
